The Six Nations Tournament is one of the most prestigious Rugby events at the international level and sees the 6 best European national teams compete each year: England, France, Italy, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Founded in 1883 as the Home Nations Championship, the tournament took its current form in 2000 with the entry of Italy.

Teams compete in a round-robin format, playing against each other in back-to-back games.

The competition takes place in February and March, and matches in Italy are hosted in Rome’s Olympic Stadium attracting the attention of rugby fans from all over the world.
